Privacy Policy
Last updated and effective: 6 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information One Percent Daily collects, why we collect it, the lawful bases we rely on, and the choices and rights you have. It covers both this website (onepercentdailyapp.com) and the One Percent Daily mobile app. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service and help you grow.
Who we are and how to contact us
One Percent Daily is the service described on this website and provided through the One Percent Daily mobile app. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
For privacy and data-rights requests, contact privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com. For general help, contact support@onepercentdailyapp.com. We respond to privacy requests as promptly as we can and within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Information collected through this website
This website is an information-only site. It has no account system, no sign-up forms, and no contact forms. When you visit, the following is processed:
- Technical request data handled by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, used to deliver the site securely
- A single browser local storage entry named 'theme' that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode
- Web font requests served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to deliver the font files
- Any information you choose to include if you email one of our published addresses
Information collected through the app
When you create an account and use the One Percent Daily app, we may process the following:
- Account information such as your name or display name
- Email address used to sign in and contact you
- Authentication details when you sign in through email, Google, or Apple
- Habit data, including the habits you create and your completions
- Calendar event data you add or link to habits
- Daily review data and reflections you record
- Progress analytics generated from your activity in the app
- Subscription status and entitlement information
- Device and usage data, such as app version, device type, and basic diagnostics
- Notification preferences and delivery status
- AI Coach interactions used to personalise your guidance
Why we process your information
- To provide core features such as habit tracking, Daily Review, and progress analytics
- To personalise coaching and AI insights based on your app data
- To manage your account, subscription, and entitlements
- To send notifications you have enabled
- To respond to support, privacy, and legal enquiries you send us
- To keep the service secure, reliable, and functioning correctly
Lawful bases for processing
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract — to create and maintain your account and provide the features you have asked for, including subscriptions and entitlements
- Consent — for optional features you switch on, such as push notifications, and for any future non-essential technologies; you can withdraw consent at any time
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure and working correctly, to prevent misuse, and to respond to your enquiries
- Legal obligation — where we must keep certain records or respond to lawful requests
Recipients and service providers
We share personal data only with providers that help us operate the service, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Supabase — backend provider for authentication, database, and storage in the app
- RevenueCat — subscription management provider for the app
- Apple and Google payment systems — process any subscription payments; we do not receive or store your full payment details
- Google Fonts — serves the web fonts used by this website
- Our website hosting provider — serves the pages and assets of this website
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside your country, including outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens, we rely on the transfer safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. If you would like more detail about a specific provider, contact privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com.
AI Coach and insights
The AI Coach uses your app data only to personalise insights and guidance. It does not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and it is not a substitute for professional advice.
How long we keep information
We keep personal data only for as long as we have a reason to, judged against the following criteria rather than fixed marketing dates:
- Account and app data is kept while your account is active, and is removed when you delete your account
- Email correspondence sent to our published addresses is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and to maintain an appropriate record of the enquiry
- Technical server and security logs are kept for the short period our hosting provider retains them for reliability and security purposes
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as certain transaction records, are kept for the period the law requires
- Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where appropriate
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on established infrastructure providers. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and to respond quickly if a problem arises.
Data export
You can request or generate an export of your data from within the app so you always have a copy of your information. You can also request an export by emailing privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & Login → Delete Account, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your account data, habits, reviews, progress, and settings unless we are legally required to retain certain records.
Your data protection rights
If you are in the UK or EU, you have the following rights over your personal data. Some rights apply only in certain circumstances, and we may not be able to grant a request in full where a legal exception or another person's rights apply — if that happens we will explain why.
- The right to be informed about how your data is used, as set out in this policy
- The right of access to the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- The right to erasure (deletion) of your data
- The right to restrict processing in certain situations
- The right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- The right to data portability for data you provided to us
- The right to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent, without affecting processing already carried out
- The right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects — we do not make such decisions
How to make a request
Email privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity before acting, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else. We will not charge a fee for a routine request.
Reporting a privacy or security concern
If you believe your information has been exposed, or you have found a security or privacy problem with the website or the app, email privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com with as much detail as you can. We will acknowledge your report, investigate it, and where a personal data breach meets the legal threshold we will notify the relevant supervisory authority, and affected users, within the timeframes the law requires.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please contact us first at privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. In the EEA you can complain to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Children and minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Where local law requires a higher age of digital consent, permission from a parent or guardian may be required. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age — if you believe a child has created an account, contact privacy@onepercentdailyapp.com and we will look into it.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website sets no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. The only thing stored on your device is a light/dark theme preference. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service develops or as legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated, and material changes will be highlighted in the app or on this website.
